Description
Overview
To provide patient care through utilization of the nursing process. The Licensed Practical Nurse performs a variety of nursing care and administrative duties to ensure adequate operation of the hospital.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Works with Swing Bed patients, both skilled nursing and non-skilled
- Works with acutely ill patients, including emergency situations
- Works independently as well as functioning as a team member
- Capable of adapting to changing environment
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops. Maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards. Perform other related duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the hospital. This individual is expected to follow all policies and procedures of NCH and observe the rules and regulations pertaining to Corporate Compliance and confidentiality (HIPAA).
Skill & Experience
- Must be a graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing
- Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Wyoming
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Current CPR Certification to be renewed annually
